Set within a fun, colourful, 80's-style radio studio, Experts Radio Lab is a drop-in performance where young people are interviewed as the expert on a topic of their choice. The interactive performance is hosted by 'born storyteller', theatre-maker Alice Mary Cooper and an experienced team of performers. The interviews are shared live over a PA to an audience of fellow interviewees, their families, and curious onlookers in a specially designed listening zone.
The event is free and drop-in. Interviews last approximately 5 minutes.

The show is participatory. We (the two presenters) invite children- if they want to- come on stage to join us and talk into a microphone about something the love/are expert at.

Yes, we have one person (plus one front of house) who talks to children about whether they want to be on 'experts radio' (ie on stage) and talk to us, and help them find a topic they want to talk about/share with the live audience

Props
There are props (small items such as books, an old telephone, and signs) on the stage. Toddlers and smaller children may need to be prevented by their parents from coming on stage and picking up/taking items.
