Touch & Go is a dancing game devised especially for children aged two and three years. Featuring dance-theatre and minimal verbal language, Touch & Go entices, dares and entertains children in a playful environment shaped by two friendly dancers and a live guitarist, several rolls of masking tape, and lots of imagination. The children and their adults are invited to enter this cheerful world of pathways, stepping-stones and lines. The children become part of the performance themselves or observe from a safe distance, touching and going - just as they need to.

The live music (mostly guitar and also a cajon drum) rises at times in volume, but there is no sudden loud sound. The music is melodic and rhythmic. There is a little bit of singing.

Drums
The cajon drum starts the show. It's a cool sound - a deep bassy drum that the musician plays by sitting on it. We hear the drum in two sections, otherwise we hear the guitar

Unexpected sounds
Nothing sudden. The masking tape is pulled from the floor at the end of the show. This makes a rather random sound and may happen all over the space, but the action is child-led, which enables (we hope) a feeling of choice and control over the action and the source of the sound

Children invited on stage
Children (and their adults) are welcome to join the action or not according to their own preferences. The key word here is invitation. Nothing is a requirement. Touch & Go takes place in a studio space where everyone is together. There's a carefully prepared performance space, but no "stage" as such
