Join acclaimed Western Australian author and conservation biologist Dr Holly Bradley for a special Story Time featuring her beautiful picture book, Milly Meelyu.
When Milly Meelyu's family home is destroyed, the little lizard must help find a new one, discovering along the way the importance of caring for the places we all call home.
Created in collaboration with Badimia Elder Darryl Fogarty and beautifully illustrated by Corinne Fogarty, Milly Meelyu is a dual-language picture book in English and Badimia that celebrates nature, conservation and guardianship.
Following the reading, Holly will share the inspiration behind the book and her work as a conservation biologist before answering questions from young readers. Participants can then join a workshop to learn about camouflage and make their own Meelyu creations to take home.
Perfect for children aged 3–8 and their families.
