A Ghost in My Suitcase is the thrilling story twelve-year-old Celeste, a young Australian girl with Chinese and French heritage. Celeste visits China for the first time to scatter her mother’s ashes. But when Celeste arrives, she is thrust into a terrifying world of ghost hunting and to survive she must discover who she truly is.
Featuring a visually spectacular set design, a lean and exciting script, three extraordinary lead female characters, beautiful digital imagery and genuine onstage magic!
The novel A Ghost in My Suitcase has become a staple in upper primary and middle school classrooms since winning the Aurealis Award for Best Children’s Fiction in 2009. This is an opportunity for students to engage with an important, contemporary text adapted by Perth’s internationally respected theatre company for young people and it is one that any teacher should not miss.
