Sean Walsh is the Producer at Barking Gecko Theatre and has been an active member of the Western Australian theatre and performing arts industry since 1997.
Sean was the Creative Producer at The Last Great Hunt from 2015 to 2019 where he oversaw the delivery of numerous productions, including the 2016 Helpmann Award nominated NEW OWNER as well as over 30 Western Australian, Australian and International tours, spanning 6 continents.
He spent many years at the Perth Festival, where he had many roles including Event Co-ordinator for The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart by the National Theatre of Scotland You Once Said Yes, from London company Look Left, Look Right and in the logistics department on The Giants by French company Royal de Luxe.
As an actor, Sean performed in many theatre productions, most notably in Perth Theatre Company’s Taking Liberty, for which he won an Equity Guild Award for his portrayal of Alan Bond. He still performs occasionally in the improv comedy ensemble The Big Hoo Haa! and is regularly heard on television and radio as a voice-over artist.
Sean studied Arts Management at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and worked in production for several years at the Awesome Arts Festival for Bright Young Things.
